Through the past years, my wife and I have enjoyed traveling throughout the Pacific Northwest looking at what God has created to please our eyes.  We started taking pictures from the very start, and now with some of the new digital technologies, we have built a vast portfolio of scenic Pacific West coast pictures, especially throughout Oregon.   We grab our cameras, take some food, and head out on the back-roads to see the fresh new looks that all the seasons bring.  There is no season we do not enjoy, but we like the spring the best.  New blooms, wild bird migrations, and the changing sky of the clear blue sometimes intermixed with a touch of snow. We backup the pictures to be processed later, but always look forward to the actual travel.  We have been traveling through the back roads for forty-four years together and look forward to many more years of visual enjoyment as we hit the roads.

We use several different cameras, but the ten megapixel format is our favorite.  By using a larger format, you can crop and adjust sometimes-useless shots.  We use several methods of saving the pictures from Raw to Tiff.  After the pictures are saved, we use Photoshop to process the pictures.  We look at every picture to decide what effect will bring out the result we are looking for.  High contrast, high dynamic range, edge art, graduated color effects, light adjustments are just a few of the considerations we think about.
